Please realize I know how the church works, was extremely active and raised good kids. I just happened upon your blog I'm a doctor's wife as well - rural family medicine and I just wanted to agree with you that "have no expectations" is awesome advice. I don't know any other doctor's wives. In other words, eternal marriage really is worth it, I think. There is the possibility that she will wise up over time, but not likely. I wouldn't just give up, but be wary. It won't be easy. The church is really good at putting on a happy, wholesome face to show the world, but if you look behind the curtain, you see that it's a despicable cult.
